Independence Soccer Club is continuing our Goalkeeping Camp Series this winter. We are committed to creating more opportunities specific to our Goalkeepers. We know we have some of the best goalkeepers in the State and Region and we want to bring them together. Come learn the Independence Goalkeeper Way. Campers will come to improve but leave with a new understanding of how to achieve at the next level. The intent of the Goalkeeping Camp Series is twofold:

*Camp reservations can be canceled and receive a refund less a $25 administration fee up to 48 hours before the start of camp. After this time, NO REFUNDS will be issued.
Nate Walzer, the goalkeeper coach for the Charlotte Independence USL Championship men’s professional team He provides oversight and direction for the Boys goalkeeping program. Walzer brings twelve (12) years of professional and collegiate coaching experience and significant accomplishments to the Independence Soccer Club. In his college coaching career, Walzer developed and coached eleven (11) collegiate All-Americans, including two goalkeepers. His teams qualified for the NCAA national championship tournament two times and qualified four times for the NAIA national championship tournament. Walzer’s teams made it to the tourney Final Four, Elite Eight or the Sweet Sixteen 4 times in national championship events.
Walzer also has 6 years of experience coaching with leading youth academies. In 2016 Walzer was named the Oregon Youth Soccer Coach of the Year. He will maintain his responsibilities with the first team as he assists the youth Club players on their pathway to the first team.
Matt Brown, the Charlotte Independence Girls Goalkeeper Director brings 16 years of experience. Prior to joining the Independence Soccer club, Matt was the Assistant Director of Goalkeeping at the Prestigious IMG Academy. Matt maintains his USSF B, USSF National, USSF Goalkeeping, NCSAA Advanced National and NSCAA National Licenses.
