The Charlotte Independence Soccer Club offers a Futures Program as a pre-cursor to our ECNL Girls Program which is the highest level of play for our girls here at the club. If you have any questions about this program, please contact Aaron Weldon at aaronw@indepencesoccer.club.

Program Overview

The Futures Program is the introduction of our female players to elite level training and identification opportunities at ages 11U and 12U. The programming will be offered at the York County, North Meck and Mooresville. The players will be selected through the regular ID/tryout process and the top 11U and 12U teams from the three locations will be part of the Futures Programming.

Throughout the playing season, these players will train three times a week at a high level with their staff coaches under supervision and instruction from the full ECNL staff. Players will remain in their respective locations throughout the season.  In addition to their league play, teams will be invited to ID events within Charlotte Independence Soccer Club to compete/train with Futures players from all three locations. Additionally, the Futures teams will participate in National Events throughout the season and Festival games against other ECNL programs to provide the highest level of competition for the players. Programming will also introduce players to our club’s focus on sports performance through a nutritionist (upon request), athletic trainers and offseason training.

Pathway & Benefits

Throughout the season, players will be part of 8 Charlotte Independence Identification Sessions, led by our ECNL staff. Players will be introduced to the system and style of play within the ECNL Program to gear them for ECNL competition at U13. During the year, players will be exposed to our EXOS performance training program, Futsal programming in the offseason and Player Individual Development Plans to provide the best player development model possible. The Futures program is a step above the Youth Academy level and the pre-cursor to our ECNL Girls Program, which is our highest level of play for our girls at the club.
