The Charlotte Independence Soccer Club offers a Pre-Development Academy Program as a pre-cursor to our Development Academy which is the highest level of play for our boys here at the club. If you have any questions about this program, please contact Vinicius dos Santos at vinids@independencesoccer.club.

Program Overview

The Charlotte Independence SC (CISC) Pre-Development Academy (PDA) follows the United States Development Academy (USDA) guidelines and platform offering a focused pathway on player development. Following a comprehensive review of elite player development in the United States and around the world, U.S. Soccer created the Development Academy in 2007. The Academy Program's philosophy is based on increased training, less total games, and more meaningful games using international rules of competition. The CISC Pre-Development Academy is a preparatory program for Boys Under 11 and Under 12 players, serving as an introduction for the DA program (philosophy, curriculum, methodologies and competition).

Pathway, Benefits & Fees

The PDA is the highest level of play for our U11 and U12 aged boys at the club. This program allows the player to see what is expected of them once they enter the competitive environment of the Development Academy here at the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club. The CISC PDA philosophy aims to create a representative environment of the game of soccer for individual players and teams that fosters learning, development and performance. The CISC PDA process incorporates consistent soccer specific training methodologies, a game based/game principled framework and meaningful competition (increased training to game ratio)
