PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Player Developmental Center (PDC) is a unique club training experience. PDC will focus on two areas of player development, technical and functional training. If your player is looking to have fun, work hard, develop and get more soccer, check out the details below.

  • About

    PDC-Friday Clinics are designed to help players enhance their technical skills in a fun and engaging environment. Each session will focus on a specific technical skill, allowing players to immerse themselves in targeted exercises that promote growth and development. Sign up for sessions on a weekly basis for the low cost of $25! Sign up soon as spots are limited each Friday to 30 players, players will be divided up of groups of 10 or lower. Interested in signing up for every Friday session? Go ahead and lock in your spot ahead of time by registering for all sessions!


    Participants will work on core skills such as:

    • Finishing (Shooting)
    • Dribbling
    • Passing
    • Receiving

    Through a variety of exercises, players will engage in friendly competition, challenging each other to earn points and wins. This not only fosters a competitive spirit but also encourages teamwork and camaraderie. Our goal is to elevate each player’s technical ability while ensuring they enjoy the learning process.


    Sign up as soon as you can for each session as space is limited! Each session is limited to 30 participants, after we get to 30 participants you will be placed on a waitlist. In the event space opens up, we will invite you off the waiting list. Register for as many sessions as you want to reserve your spot ahead of time!

The DETAILS Functional Training Camps

  • About - Summer Training

    PDC- Functional Training aims to effectively develop and refine your child's technical skills in soccer during the competitive season breaks. The program is carefully structured to target specific areas of improvement including dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control for all field players. Training is scheduled twice a week or more with a focus on keeping players engaged and sharp over the Summer and Winter months!


    Our Summer Functional Training programs are for the 2016-2011 birth years and are open to all levels of play. Sessions are focused more on larger groups of 12-15 players to incorporate both technical development through individual exercises as well as small sided games to use those skills in a team environment.

  • Summer Training

    Two days of weekly training throughout June-July, stay fit and ready for the fall season. Practice sessions will be designed based on age and skill level. The Summer Training is a great way to keep skills sharp in the off season and to develop new skills.

  • GK Breakfast Club

    Early morning, high level training for goalkeepers with 2007-2013 birth years. Goalkeepers will be trained to understand and execute the modern demands of Goalkeeping: shot stopping, handling crosses, distribution and organizing the defense.


    Ages: Boys and Girls 2013-2007 (Goalkeepers Only)

    Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays from June 9 - July 16, 2025. Excluding week of July 4th

    North Location: Richard Barry Park, Huntersville

    South Location: Manchester Meadows, Rock Hill

    North Time: 7:45 AM-9:00 AM

    South Time: 8:00 AM-9:15 AM

  • Ball Mastery

    The first touch is a major theme in Ball Mastery sessions. Emphasis is placed on individual skill development with the goal of developing confidence on the ball. Exercises and games are progressive. Players learn and practice a skill under no pressure. Coaches then add restrictions of time, space, and competition to conclude performing moves in a game like environment. This is open to all levels with birth years of 2011-2018. 


    Ages: Boys and Girls born in 2011-2018

    Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 10 - July 17. Excluding week of July 4th

    North Location: Bailey Road Park – Cornelius

    South Location: Manchester Meadows, Rock Hill

The DETAILS INDIVIDUAL TRAINING

The PDC-Individual Training Program is our personal training platform to develop players in an individualized setting for 2015 - 2006 birth years. Our Player Development Center is a fantastic way to grow a player's technical ability within an engaging environment all while being pushed to improve. We have assembled an experienced group of Charlotte Independence coaches that are interested in running individualized training for members here at the club. Members can sign up for packages of 3 sessions or 6 sessions with the coach of their choice.


Sessions are 1 hour in length, there must be a parent or guardian present due to Keep Us Safe policy. Schedules are worked out between the parent and the coach. Once your sessions have been completed, you can sign up as much as you want and continue training throughout the season. If you are interested in adding friends or teammates to your individual session, we can accommodate up to 3 in a group.
