RECREATION EXPERIENCE
Barry Slagle, Director of Recreation, interviews two recreational players, Zoey and Julia, along with their coach, Bill Hart in an episode of Chats with Jacks. They share their personal experiences in the recreation program, discussing how it has influenced their development, confidence, and love for soccer.

In partnerships with Soccer Stars youth soccer program, we offer a fun, positive & non-competitive environment where children learn the fundamentals of soccer. We use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children improve their soccer skills, develop self-confidence and physical literacy, improve gross motor skills, and hone socialization skills.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Junior Academy
Born in 2020, 2019, 2018 (U6-U8) The Junior Academy is a training program that can be an addition to the Recreation program. It aims to elevate player skills and foster development through a distinct approach focusing entirely on enhancing technical abilities and skill implementation aligned with The Independence Way.
This program not only provides a platform for individual skill development but also strengthens teamwork. Players will grow together, learning valuable skills that can be applied back in a team environment.
Sessions will be tailored by our professionally certified and licensed coaching staff and led by high-level instructors, with a sole emphasis on fundamental technical skills. This training program is a fantastic opportunity for our coaches to enhance player skills and guide them along our development pathway.

- Builds teamwork and prepares players to contribute effectively in team environments.
- Sessions led by certified, licensed coaches and high-level instructors.
- Designed as a development pathway to enhance performance and confidence.

YOUTH ACADEMY
Born in 2016, 2017 or 2018 (U8-U10) The Youth Academy is the beginning of the Player Pathway into our Local, Regional and National Competitive Programs. The program places emphasis on 3 areas of Individual Player Development: Soccer Development, Athletic Development, Personal Development. The program focuses on developing the individual player’s technical abilities, providing opportunities to play various positions in matches and the freedom to make their own decisions and learn from their own experiences. The CISC YA (Youth Academy) Program focuses on the overall well-being of the person that will enhance their lives for years to come!

Volunteer
As a volunteer coach, you play a key role in developing a community of soccer enthusiasts! If you have ever played soccer, even if you haven't laced up cleats in more years than you'd admit, you are a soccer player. Similarly, if you have sat in the stands of a soccer game, been coached by your own parent or neighbor, you know what it is to be a soccer player. If you have played any other sport, or been a fan, you know that physical or technical skills are only one trait, among many other valuable development opportunities provided by sport.
While heavy oversight and continued education are provided by the club, we do rely on participation from our community to support the ever-growing Recreational Leagues. If you are interested in joining the club, supporting your neighborhood, creating a family on the sideline, please reach out to us by completing the quick interest survey.
Training Schedules
Below schedule is for Fall 2025.
We have Recreation Soccer programming for players born between 2021-2007 (2007s are allowed to player if the player is still in High School). Please note that these are the initial offerings and are here to give you an idea of what days/times we train by age and location. The official training schedule is housed within PlayMetrics Registration and is subject to change. Training options will be limited as registrations increase. Families can choose their training location, but game day locations are set by their age groups. We will do our best to accommodate any requests, but requests are not guaranteed.
NORTH MECK
